Introduction

The goal of this workshop is to develop the abilities of participants to become supply chain leaders and supply chain management professionals, i.e. to lead groups of people and to manage change.

About this Workshop

This workshop focuses on the issues in leadership and professionalism, such as developing a leadership point of view, a leader profile, creating a vision and mission statement, and performing steps to effective leadership. You may already be a manager, and be familiar with some of the terminology, theory and practice of leadership. This workshop will further acquaint you with facets of leadership, and allow you the opportunity to improve your own leadership skills in a highly interactive learning environment.

This workshop also includes a presentation and discussion on the certification of supply chain management professionals and the shift from purchasing to strategic supply chain management. The workshop encourages you to analyze specific aspects of your leadership in the context of your organization’s vision and mission statements, as well as improving your language of leadership, and developing leadership strategies for leading teams and groups of people.
